YRC1000 Regular Inspection Checklist

Skipping routine checks shortens controller life and can lead to unexpected stops. The list below summarises what to check on the YRC1000 cabinet and how often.

Notes on key items

Sealed cabinet. The YRC1000 is sealed to keep out oil mist, so keep the doors closed even when the controller is idle. Turn off the main power before opening, and check that the inside is clean – heavy staining means the seal is leaking.

Fans and filter. The heat-exchanger fans run whenever power is on; the rear duct fan runs while the servo is on. Confirm air flow at the intakes and outlets. Clean a dirty filter with an air blower; if that is not enough, wash it in lukewarm water (about 40 °C), dry it completely, or replace it. A message about the power-supply unit's cooling fan stopping means that fan should be inspected and replaced soon.

Enable switch test. In TEACH mode press SERVO ON READY (the lamp blinks). A light grip should turn servo power on; gripping hard or releasing should turn it off. If the lamp never lights, check for a pressed E-stop, an external E-stop input or an active major alarm.

Supply voltage. Measure the line voltage at the main breaker terminals with a tester. Acceptable values are the rated range +10 % / −15 % (200–240 V, 380–440 V or 380–480 V depending on model). On 200 V units with phase-S grounding, the S phase to earth should read about 0 V.

warning

The cabinet contains 200–480 VAC even with the door open for fan checks. Never touch internal units while power is on.
