YRC1000 Controller Specifications

The YRC1000 is the MOTOMAN controller generation that followed the DX200. It drives the manipulator through AC servo amplifiers and reads absolute encoders over a serial link. The table below collects the headline numbers that people most often search for when planning an installation.

Ambient conditions​

  • Operating temperature 0 to 45 °C; storage/transport −10 to 60 °C; change rate no more than 0.3 °C per minute.
  • Humidity 10–90 %RH, non-condensing.
  • Altitude up to 1000 m without derating. Above that the maximum ambient temperature falls by 1 % per 100 m, up to a hard limit of 2000 m (where the limit becomes 40.5 °C).
  • Vibration 0.5 G or less. Keep the cabinet away from corrosive or explosive gas, coolant mist, oil fumes, solvents, strong electrical noise and radiation.

Pendant and safety features (overview)​

  • Jog coordinate systems: joint, rectangular/cylindrical, tool and user frames.
  • Three-position enable switch – servo power is available only in the middle position.
  • Two alarm classes (major and minor) plus user alarm messages for peripheral devices.
  • Door interlock: the cabinet door can only be opened with the main breaker OFF.
  • Supported applications include arc welding, spot welding, handling, press tending and cutting.
